Seth Glier To Open For Folk Icon Ani DiFranco On June 5th And 7th [31 May 2011|10:57pm]

Singer-songwriter Seth Glier has just confirmed two opening slots with Ani DiFranco for Sunday, June 5th at The Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY and Tuesday, June 7th at The Oneonta Theatre in Oneonta, NY.
Glier is thrilled to be performing with Ani DiFranco, as he recalls, "I remember my father taking me to an Ani show when I was 12 years old. It's incredible to think what 10 years can do. I'm pinching myself."
Feminist folk icon, Ani DiFranco is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist perpetually on the move. From the raw "folk punk" of her early albums through the jazz/funk grooves she created during her years touring with a five-piece band to the twists and turns of her current work as a solo artist, Ani's restless creativity continually leads her and her listeners into ever more exciting territory.

Calling All Music Producers and Engineers [17 Jul 2009|05:57am]

One sub is opened but never used, the other is still factory sealed. The surround speakers (RS-3) were never opened either. Tha satellites were used gently less than 10 times. PICK UP ONLY in BENSONHURST.

These speakers sound phenominal, but I upgraded to professional studio monitors recently, and have no used to these anyone.

And if you're interested, I also have a Pioneer D509S 5.1 Dolby Digitial/DTS receiver, as well as a Kenwood DD/DTS receiver (sans remote) That I"m looking to get rid of. Everything is in perfect order, and you can find manuals to each and every item you're interested in purchasing by going to the manufacturers website in case of any trouble-shooting.

And if by some chance you're having a hard time finding specs or pictures of said items, try using Google's image searcher.

[17 Jul 2009|12:31am]

I made this post in my own journal, so I"m copying and pasting it.

BROOKLYN ECLECTIC [08 Feb 2007|02:05am]

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The Floor is Lava!(myspace.com/thefloorislavaband)--A band of bleeding raw garage, out to bring Rock and Roll back! (just played at The Knitting Factory Feb 2, bringing in over 100 people!)

Cool and Unusual Punishment(myspace.com/coolunusualpunishment)--Awesome indie trio whose members' diverse influences make their music a unique and mind-blowing experience.

Dulaney Banks(myspace.com/dulaneybanks)--A heart-breakingly soulful blues duo whose riffs make you wanna cry and whose singer makes you wanna sing too. It's hard to be a sincere, original blues band these days, but they've done it.

The Floor is Lava! and Cool and Unusual Punishment played a show at Dock Street last September, bringing around 75 people over from Brooklyn and Manhattan, in addition to many locals.

I saw this cool contest on Brickfish.com and if any of you are in a band and have a music video, you should join. The band that gets the most votes on their video gets $500 and an A&R rep from V2 records will check out your video.

Go look:

Also, if you like Gosling, Luna Halo, Senses Fail, Lost Prophets or The Decemberists, they all have contests going on over there right now, and there’s a really cool interview with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio on the site too:
